1) How do I apply to the school?
Send an email to us at infoschool@angefou.co.uk, including your full name, postal address. We will send you a brochure, application form and information about auditioning. You can also phone us (+44... 0207 263 9339) or write to the school.

2) When are the deadlines for application and enrolment?
There are no deadlines for applications. You can enrol from October through May at the beginning of each month.

3 ) How do I graduate from the school?
A diploma is awarded to student successfully completing three years of the Full Time Professional Dipolma Programme. Certificates are given to full time students at the end of the First Year Intensive Foundation Course and at the end of Second Year Advanced Training Programme.

4) Do I need a visa to study in the UK?
To find out if you need a visa to study in the UK, contact the British Embassy or Consulate in your country. Citizens from EU member countries do not need visas. The school is totally international and we will provide necessary documents of enrolment in order to obtain a student visa for non EU citizen. The school is an ASIC Premier College and meets all the requirements of immigration law.

5) Where is the school?
The school is located in north London, a 15 minute walk from Archway (Northern Line) and Finsbury Park (Piccadilly line) tube stations, and a short walk from the Upper Holloway rail stop. Some areas that are close to the school and well-served by buses and trains include: Finsbury Park, Tufnell Park, Stoke Newington, Arsenal, Hackney, Camden and Islington.

6) How do I pay my fees?
• Fees may be paid by cash, cheque or bank transfer
• If you already a full time student in the School, you may pay by month, by term, or by year. Fees are non-refundable except in cases of a serious illness or exceptional circumstances.
• If you have been accepted into the full-time programme, you make an advance payment of the first month of studies in order to reserve your place in the School. To pay for more than one month in advance is not compulsory. However, for students applying for a student visa, the British Authorities may ask a student to show confirmation of the school payment fees for one term or one school year in advance as proof of a sincere committment of study.
• The initial one month advance payment is non-refundable. In the case of a student paying for more than one month in advance, and if they fail to obtain a student visa, the School will refund the entire advance payment minus the one month fee.

7) Can I get a grant or funding to study at the mime school?
Many students obtain grants and bursaries from educational, arts or government bodies in their own countries. For UK residents, the main funding bodies for professional theatre training are local authorities and the Arts Council.

8) How can I find accommodation in London?
Many students find shared accommodation once they start at the school, but it is important that you find somewhere to stay before you arrive in London. Once in London, you can buy a copy of Loot, a paper with listings for accommodation. There are a variety of options, from flat and houseshares to short term lets of single apartments. A web search will yield a number of websites offering accommodation, the most popular being www.loot.com. You may also find information on www.ukcosa.org.uk. If you arrive without having found an accomodation, you will be able to count on the solidarity between students for advices and help. However, the school cannot provide or be expected to provide accomodation.

9) Am I entitled to National Health Service treatment?
As a full-time student at the International School of Corporeal Mime you are entitled to NHS treatment. To find out more, go to www.ukcosa.org.uk.

10) Do you offer workshops?
The school offers an annual 2-week summer workshop in July for new students, professionals and those considering full-time mime training. We also offer workshops upon request to schools, universities and other groups. For details of these, see our Outreach and Education page or email us.

11) How can I see the work of the students at the school?
Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum create a new show with their students at the end of each school year. The show is usually performed at the end of june in a theatre in London. Contact us at the end of May for more details.
